Hey,
Hows everyone doing back in good old nice and cool Utah?
Enjoy the cold for me please it is now officially summer in Guatemala and oh freak it is so miserable. I just sweat and sweat. I sometimes just get angry in my studies cause it is just so hot 24 hours and the only way to cool down is a nice cold shower, I love cold showers!!
If you all are wondering why I am writing at 8 in the morning its because I am in Coban. Our zone is being rewarded for our hard work so we get a day in the city. I feel super spoiled I just ate a sausage mcmuffin sooooo good hahaha!!!
So this past week was good we have been working so hard every night, I just come home and crash everyday, but that's good.
Elder Griff's and I fasted last week to find a new family and on Friday we did. It was cool they are a family of 6 but they aren't married aghhhhh so frustrating! We will be patient and diligent and work with them but they have never been to any church and they have a really great family so I am happy. The missionary work here is good we are super busy everyday and I just get so tired and sweaty the sun is so hot oh my gosh.. anyways we teach a ton the problem is getting them to church. Sundays are so rough on me I just want to give up on Sundays cause no body comes to church its so frustrating so if you have any ideas let me know!!!
We also made a fire and roasted marshmallows and hot dogs and made smores hahaha we did all this to celebrate one more change in Kanlun so forward we go into the hot sun!!
I am really enjoying learning Qeqchi its getting fun. I have enough of the grammar to teach like for five minutes but learning the vocab is fun hahaha. My favorite word I learned this week was flashlight its Kaxlan xam chicken fire hahaha this language is crazy! I remember when I first heard Qeqchi and it sounded like an alien language but now i can understand and even speak a little but of course its so not my brain. I am being so blessed with this language so I am extremely grateful for my Heavenly Father.
Well I love you all so much enjoy the week and be safe!!
